Let's forget about yesterday. It's a new game today, and it's also a quick preview today.
Starting for the Brewers is Zack Greinke (3.46 ERA, 2.05 FIP). Here's the quick analysis on him: He's great at Miller Park. He has a 1.30 ERA at home vs. a 5.93 ERA on the road. Some of that inflation in the road ERA came from his one start against the Cubs. In 3 2/3 innings, he allowed eight runs on nine hits and a walk against the Cubs on April 12. He would love to get some redemption from that start.
Two Cubs have faced Greinke ten times or more:
| Batter | PA | BA | OBP | SLG | OPS |
| Alfonso Soriano | 20 | .278 | .350 | .333 | .683 |
| Starlin Castro | 12 | .333 | .500 | .444 | .944 |
On the other side is Paul Maholm (4.82 ERA, 5.28 FIP). He is in his first season with the Cubs, and has struggled a bit. His biggest problem has been allowing home runs, as his HR/9 rate is up to 1.4 this season from a career rate of 0.8. He allowed 11 home runs total in 26 starts last season, and has already allowed 9 in 10 starts in 2012. Other than that, everything has been right around his career averages.
He has made one start against the Brewers this season. On April 10, he allowed six runs on six hits and two walks in four innings. Since he has spent his career in the NL Central, the Brewers have seen him quite a bit. Five current Brewers have faced him ten times or more:
| Batter | PA | BA | OBP | SLG | OPS |
| Corey Hart | 54 | .326 | .407 | .652 | 1.060 |
| Rickie Weeks | 53 | .190 | .358 | .214 | .573 |
| Aramis Ramirez | 44 | .244 | .295 | .439 | .734 |
| Ryan Braun | 43 | .343 | .419 | .486 | .904 |
| Carlos Gomez | 16 | .467 | .500 | .800 | 1.300 |
