Jean Segura had arguably the best night of his young major league career tonight, driving in the game-winning run with a seventh inning single, stealing a base and scoring another run on a Cub error. At 22 years and 165 days he's the youngest Brewer to have a run scored, RBI and stolen base in the same game since Prince Fielder in 2006.
Here are the five youngest Brewers ever to perform this feat:
Player | Date | Opponent | Age |
Robin Yount | May 1, 1974 | Rangers | 18 years, 227 days |
Gary Sheffield | June 16, 1989 | Twins | 20 years, 210 days |
Darrell Porter | April 24, 1973 | Royals | 21 years, 97 days |
Sixto Lezcano | April 11, 1975 | Indians | 21 years, 134 days |
Dion James | May 16, 1984 | Rangers | 21 years, 189 days |
Segura is the ninth youngest player with a run, RBI and stolen base in the same major league game this season. Bryce Harper, who did it for the first time at 19 years and 239 days, was the youngest.
