Edit: After doing some searching, Mike Fiers is actually the 19th player to record 10 QS in a season as a rookie. Manny Parra was an interesting case, as his DL time complicated the situation. However, he was a rookie in 2008 when he had at least 10 QS. The post has been updated to reflect this.
Tonight, Mike Fiers flirted with a perfect game. He didn't get it, but still put up another great start. It was his tenth quality start of the season. He is the 19th Brewer to record ten quality starts in a season as a rookie. Here is a list of the other players:
| Player | Year | Player | Year | |
| Manny Parra | 2008 | Bill Wegman | 1986 | |
| Yovani Gallardo | 2007 | Teddy Higuera | 1985 | |
| Ben Sheets | 2001 | Jaime Cocanower | 1984 | |
| Scott Karl | 1995 | Moose Haas | 1977 | |
| Steve Sparks | 1995 | Jerry Augustine | 1976 | |
| Angel Miranda | 1993 | Kevin Kobel | 1974 | |
| Cal Eldred | 1992 | Bill Parson | 1971 | |
| Don August | 1988 | Jim Slaton | 1971 | |
| Juan Nieves | 1986 | Skip Lockwood | 1970 |
He has about 10 starts left in 2012. How many more of those will be quality starts?
