75% of fans say they would approve if the Brewers brought Marcum back, but many want a one-year deal.
This week's Brew Crew Ball Tracking Poll was open from Monday at noon through Tuesday and received 159 responses. Here are some notable results:
- 75% of voters said they would approve if the Brewers re-signed Shaun Marcum, compared to 57 and 54% that would approve signings of Brett Myers and Joe Saunders.
- 49% of those voters, though, said they would only want Marcum back on a one-year deal. Marcum is believed to be seeking two years.
- Just 48% of voters think the Brewers can compete in 2013 if they do not make any more additions to their starting rotation. That's 8% less than when we asked the same question three weeks ago.
- 89 and 86% of voters approve of the Mike Gonzalez and Tom Gorzelanny signings, respectively.
- Doug Melvin's approval rating currently sits at 79%, down from 92% at the end of the season.
