On this day in 1968 Eddie Zosky was born in Whittier, California. He went to college at Fresno State before the Blue Jays made him the #19 overall pick in the 1989 draft, and slightly more than two years later he made his MLB debut at shortstop as a September callup in 1991.

Unfortunately, Zosky's 18 games played with the 1991 Jays would be his career high. In fact, he had played just 14 more games over the previous eight years when the Brewers signed him as a minor league free agent before the 1999 season.

A .294/.333/.448 batting line for AAA Louisville earned Zosky a return trip to the majors in 1999 and a place in history: He's alphabetically the last player in the Brewers' franchise index. Here's the final five:

With that said, Zosky's Brewer career lasted just eight games and covered just one hit.
