Brewer pitchers and catchers were required to report to spring training on Tuesday, but four of them (and an infielder) aren't there yet due to visa issues.
Tom Haudricourt is reporting that spring training invitees Jairo Asencio, Miguel De Los Santos, Alfredo Figaro, Ariel Pena and Jean Segura are all in the Dominican Republic waiting for permission to come to the US. Ron Roenicke said Pena and Segura have resolved their issues and are on their way, but didn't have an update on the other three.
De Los Santos' absence isn't a big deal because he's rehabbing a shoulder injury, but Asencio and Figaro may be hurting their chances to make the Opening Day roster by coming to camp late. Both were minor league free agent signings this winter and non-roster invitees to camp.
Segura, of course, isn't technically required to report to camp for a few more days. Many Brewer position players are already in Maryvale, though.
