Marco Estrada came into Spring already knowing that he had a rotation spot locked up. That hasn't kept him from pitching well , however.he has given up just one run in 9.1 innings while striking out nine. He has walked five batters, though. Estrada has had control problems in the past, but really got those issues under control the past two seasons.

For the Angels, Garrett Richards will take the mound. Richards hasn't been very good in his first two major league seasons, but was a top-100 prospect prior to 2012. He has suffered from high WHIPs which, inevitably, lead to runs. Richards has give. Up two runs, both on homers, in eight innings this spring.
