His career was relatively brief, but if you're comparing peaks you can make a solid case for Teddy Higuera as the greatest Brewer pitcher of all time. His major league career started on this day in 1985 with a start against the White Sox.
Higuera didn't show much on this day, allowing four runs on seven hits over 5.2 innings as the Brewers lost 6-5. Two starts later he pitched a complete game shutout, though, and he went on to post a 3.90 ERA while working well over 200 innings. He finished second to Ozzie Guillen in the balloting for AL Rookie of the Year.
