Winning cures what ails the BCB Tracking Poll

Denis Poroy

Not surprisingly, a long streak of good baseball raised people's spirits a bit.

This week's Brew Crew Ball Tracking Poll was open from Monday at noon through Tuesday, and received 286 responses (up from 221 a week ago). Here are some notable results:

  • 73% of voters said the recent Brewer winning streak (which was at seven games when the poll opened on Monday) has changed their level of optimism for this team going forward.
  • 65% of voters agree with the decision to move Jonathan Lucroy into the cleanup spot in place of Rickie Weeks.
  • Doug Melvin's approval rating is up 20% this week (from 51 to 71%), and Ron Roenicke's is up 15% (from 49 to 64%).
  • 76% of voters now feel that this team can still make the playoffs, up from 55% a week ago.
