Franchise pitching at a (strange) glance

nullacct

When it comes to thinking about the history of the Brewer franchise, there are a lot of names that stick in my mind for one reason or another when it comes to Brewer pitching. Ben Sheets, for example. And Mike Caldwell. But there are other names that I can't forget too, like Chuck Crim and Zack Greinke.

Well, I wanted to hit the reset button on my memory and try to create a visual that would put into perspective the amount of pitching that each player has done for the franchise, so I created a word cloud out of all of it, with each name being in proportion to the amount of career innings they pitched for the Brewers.

Not too complicated, and the result wasn't too surprising, but I thought I would share.

That's a result of all of the pitchers, scaled based on Innings Pitched.

I was ready to post this, but I was disturbed by how little Kameron Loe's name was so I had to go back to the drawing board and redo it by total Games Pitched, too.

Ah, much better.
