Fox's John Morosi with the scoop. EDIT:Official announcement may be pushed to tomorrow; the Athletics have another move pending. "#Brewers trade of C George Kottaras to Oakland might not be announced tonight. Apparently waiting for A's to do another move first.— Tom (@Haudricourt) July 28, 2012"
Per TH. Edit: One of the corresponding moves is Lucroy's activation from the DL. The other is Jim Henderson's callup from AAA. - Cheeseandcorn
Via Twitter, Jsonline Writer Tom Haudricourt found out Jim Henderson is on his way to Milwaukee. The reliever has a boatload of saves for Nashville. No corresponding roster move has been announced yet. Edit by JP: TH also posted the following stats on Jim Henderson: 1.69 ERA, 15 SV. The Brewers have a 40-man spot available so they do not need to clear one for him. A corresponding move from the 25-man roster will be needed. Also cleaned up the title a little.
So, the #Brewers get the fifth pick in Comp. Round B. With new rules, won't know precisely where that pick falls until next spring.

Per McCalvy and others. Eighth inning will be handled by Loe, Veras, and Parra, based on matchups.
• Angry fans in Kansas City, broiled by the 100-degree heat and embarrassed by the team’s continued lack of success, will burn Robinson Cano in effigy for slighting Billy Butler in the Home Run Derby, then go on to occupy the Royals’ headquarters and depose general manager Dayton Moore. Jonathan Sanchez, the return in the Melky Cabrera trade, will be sent to a monastery for his own protection, while Yuniesky Betancourt’s attempt to enter the Federal Witness Program will fail due to his unwillingness to walk 90 feet to an initial meeting point with FBI agents.
Via MLBTR. Interesting move, Thornburg from the bullpen or is he going to be in the rotation? Edit by JP: Thornburg will pitch from the bullpen, per Adam McCalvy. Also clarified the title a little.
#Brewers announce that OF Jay Gibbons has retired. Played at AA and AAA levels in their farm system.
