Prince Fielder, defensive asset
Lost in the shuffle of Prince's fantastic, MVP-worthy season is the fact that UZR actually has him as slightly above average with the glove. Granted, it was only half a run, and posted a basically average season with the glove probably isn't something worth getting too worked up about, but when it comes from a guy who is widely pegged as a future DH, and has never posted better than a -8.5 UZR, I think it's well worth noting.

Rickie Weeks' Run Scoring
I think that it is pretty universally accepted that when Weeks gets on base, he scores. If only his OBP was higher, he'd be unstoppable. My question is this: What percent of times on base does Weeks score, and how does that compare to the team/league averages? The trick to figuring this out is that not all runs scored are a result of getting on base (HRs), and walks and IBBs must also be taken into account. I suppose an even more useful stat would be the percentage of runs scored when on base with less than 2 outs or with no outs. Any Ideas?

What is Ben Sheets worth? Is he worth (to any team) a 4-6 year contract at $15M plus?? Or will he sign for 2-3 years?
Baseball out of the Olympics
So as many of you know this is the last year for Olympic baseball but Synchronized F#$%ing Diving is a 'sport' - and there are 4 different medal events. There are even 6 medal events for equestrian sports - Do they give a gold medal to the horse and the jockey? Do they drug test the horse? Baseball & Softball are out - Synchronized F#$%ing Swimming is in....
