Washburn's Interested in the Brewers.
Via Haudricourt comes this link from FOX Sports: Jarrod Washburn says the Brewers and Twins are two teams "on his radar," but he doesn't know if they're interested.

Milwaukees First All-Black Baseball Team
This is kind of cool if you are interested in the history of Baseball in Milwaukee and/or the history of African-American baseball. Even if you're not normally interested in that kind of thing, it is still an interesting read.

Brewers, Pirates Discussed Doumit-for-Hardy Swap
Via Bucs Dugout, which advises taking this with a grain of salt as it didn't show up in the Pittsburgh paper(s), FOXSports.com reports the Brewers and Pirates discussed a Ryan Doumit for JJ Hardy swap earlier this offseason.
Doumit, you may recall, is a catcher who has FRAGILE tattooed on his forehead, or at the very least should. He had a breakout year in 2008, but a wrist injury torpedoed his 2009 season.

Agent Casey Close said that Sheets is doing "very well" in his rehab from flexor tendon surgery and plans to be 100 percent by the start of spring training. Close also anticipates no shortage of interest from clubs in the coming weeks.
Jerry Crasnick, ESPN. Apparently the concerns were a false alarm.

Our long national nightmare is over. There'll be dancing in the streets, drinking in the saloons, and necking in the parlor.

List of arbitration-eligible players
Here is the list of 210 players eligible for arbitration. The Brewers have 8 such players, some of which are a lock for arbitration (Carlos Gomez), while others are up in the air (Dave Bush, Son of Clung, Mike Rivera). The nontender deadline is December 12.

MLBTR: Trade Market for Starting Pitchers
Hat tip to Al, who posted a link to MLBTR's Trade Market for Starting Pitchers. It's worth going through, just to see the two Brewers starters who made the list. It's also worth noting that there are FIVE Detroit Tigers on the list. You'll recall that Doug Melvin did not bother calling Detroit to gauge their interest in JJ Hardy because there was no fit to be had.
