Pirates reinstate 1B LaRoche from DL

Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - The Pittsburgh Pirates reinstated first baseman Adam LaRoche from the 15-day disabled list Thursday, and optioned infielder Jose Bautista to Triple-A Indianapolis.
LaRoche hit the DL on July 29 with a right intercostal strain after suffering the strain of his ribcage muscle during an at-bat in a July 27, 3-1 loss to San Diego.
LaRoche, 28, is batting .265 this season with 15 home runs and 52 runs batted in through 98 games.
Bautista was hitting .242 with 12 homers and 44 RBI in 107 games this season.
