Denver, CO (Sports Network) - Cincinnati Reds pitcher Johnny Cueto left Sunday's game against the Colorado Rockies after the third inning because of soreness in his right triceps tendon.
The righty will be examined tomorrow in Cincinnati.
Cueto threw three hitless innings, despite giving up a run, while striking out four and walking three. The Reds' rookie starter was 8-12 on the year with a 4.74 earned run average going into Sunday's game with 142 strikeouts in 152 innings.
He was replaced by Nick Masset.
