Geoff Jenkins, IMPACT BAT???

This is an excerpt from an ESPN.com article... (I'm too lazy to do any HTML'ing here, so no fancy quote box and no fancy link... but the article's at http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/columns/story?id=2669360&campaign=rss&source=MLBHeadlines)
"As soon as Carlos Lee signs -- with Baltimore, Houston or San Francisco, most likely -- the impact bats will be gone. That could pry some top offensive players loose, including Boston's Manny Ramirez, Toronto's Vernon Wells, Tampa Bay's Carl Crawford, Texas' Mark Teixeira, Atlanta's Andruw Jones, Philadelphia's Pat Burrell, Florida's Miguel Cabrera, Milwaukee's Geoff Jenkins and Colorado's Todd Helton."
What shocks me about this.... we've got Crawford/Cabrera/Teixeira, 3 very young superstars (and rake like crazy). Then you've got Ramirez and Jones, who are easily uber-elite players... and Burrell and Helton have had down years, but were dominant at some point. I mean, Jinxie at his best doesn't even compare to anyone except Pat the Bat.
If we could get ANYTHING close to any of what those other players would receive...

Geoff Jenkins
But remember, he knows he's still great. All I know, is that if he's still on our team for the 2007 season and strikes out his first at-bat, the booing will equal the Randall Simon Sausagegate fiasco.
Say what you will about that, at least Simon made contact.
