Chris Capuano is signed
The Brewers and Cappy were about a million bucks apart, and they settled on the exact midpoint, $3.25 million. No big surprise: I didn't imagine that there'd be an arbitration hearing in this case, and Chris ought to be thrilled to get the first huge raise of his baseball career.
By the way, this doesn't preclude a long-term deal--Doug Melvin has been known to come up with extensions after settling one-year deals like this one. It does, I suppose, make a long-term deal less likely, but anything's still possible.

Good for him.
I'd say this is a fair amount of money for him. I do hope though that we can possibly sign him to a multi year deal still, as it would be nice to have Suppan, Sheets, and Cappy all locked up for a couple years.
