Brewers: The Next Wave

As soon as the 2007 season ended for the Brewers, many of us immediately started to look toward the future, and building on the successes of this season.  A lot has been said about what 2008 may hold, but what about 2009 and beyond?  I know we've discussed our post-Braun and -Gallardo prospects in the past, but the Journal Sentinel has something to add as well.  It's not too detailed, but it has neat little blurbs on the likes of Mat Gamel, Alcides Escobar, Manny Parra (it's not so much a blurb as it is a Parra-graph), plus some flunkie named LaPorta, among others.  Worth a quick read on a quiet weekend.

Neat.
But was the JS trying to be dramatic by listing LaPorta's "stats" at the bottom of the article?  If not, what were they doing?  If yes, they failed.

In the print version of the J/S I believe there was a photo & seperate article on LaPorta.  It simply looks like a bad transition to the online format.

I heard
that he wants the head of the Drug Enforcement Czar brought to him on a platter.
