Indians Home Opener in Milwaukee
Score one for the stadium with a roof.
Anyone else think it might be cool to go watch a game with a neutral crowd, and see Vlad throw the ball around between innings?
Early indications are that tickets will not be discounted, though.

Update [2007-4-9 15:53:7 by Marty McSuperFly]: Ahem. That would be Field Diamond Box, 7 rows behind the Angels dugout. I'll be taunting some struck-out batters :)

Non-domed Midwest stadiums
I'd go if I was still there...
All circuits busy
I've called twice to order tickets, and got busy signals, and "All circuits busy" messages.

If you think $18 is too much for lower deck...
I'd be jumping at the bit, too.

Prices
Bargain
After a while they were either allowing people to drift into the bleachers, or they actually starting selling the seats out there (it sure looked full on the field and loge levels when people started filling in over there). It's hard to say whether the turnout will be as good with a winter storm going on, but hopefully they do as well as they did last night. It can't be easy to pull together all the loose ends in a day.

Will Call
My tix are at will call Thursday and I don't want to wait in line forever.
Long
When we arrived last night around 5:35, there were lines 8-9 deep at all the ticket windows (based on a quick glance....I didn't see if the line continued anywhere). Will Call looked as long as the others.

lots of upset people
this is just another classic example about the "blame bud first" people. the indians contacted the baseball about moving it to milwaukee, but people automatically assume it was moved there because selig once owned the brewers, convienently forgetting that selig has no financial stake in the team anymore.
Hahaha
For the record, I frequently have unkind things to say about Bud Selig. However, his insistence on a retractable roof in Milwaukee is unquestionably the best thing he did for the Brewers after moving them to Milwaukee.
Well, actually, the best thing he ever did was sell the team and get his daughter out of here, but you know what I mean :)
