PrintWell, there's not much else to say. The Brewers are cold, and Peavy is scary, but talk about going out with a whimper. Man. It's always depressing when the pitcher single-handedly generates enough offense to beat you.
At least the Cubs lost again, and again in heartbreaking fashion. Also, the Braves are up next, and they just got swept at home by the Phillies, so there's that. I'll try to get a series preview up later tonight or tomorrow morning. Also, don't forget to email me or Jeff if you want to hang out on Tuesday.

Lastly, when your manager believes in his heart that every starter must pitch six innings, you are up shit-creek, you are toast, you are vervucht, verstaedt?
We will beat SOMEBODY when this sorry equation changes.
(Let's not forget that the guys at the top half of our lineup are pretty damn new at this....)

Something to think about
Maybe that has something to do with the team being without a real long reliever now that Dessens is on the DL and Villanueva is being conserved in case he's needed on Tuesday?
