Justin Verlander is Very, Very Good

That sucked.  But hey, it was pretty cool anyway.

Yup - a loss but only one loss
and it was pretty cool. Big strike zone and outstanding pitching.

Better than
At least it was better than being no-hit by Scott Erickson.  That game sucked.

Oh man
As if the mere memory of the 1994 season wasn't bad enough.

Suppan
Soupcan kept his streak of a decision in every start  of the year alive.

This is pretty miserable.
Congrats to Justin Verlander, though I'm pretty sure MLB will put an asterisk next to his no-hitter in the record books after considering that Counsell and Graffanino were 1-2 in the lineup.

Weird
I've been taking a little vacation from the Brewers, so I missed most of the game yesterday.  Did Graffy really swing at a bird?
And Graffanino, who swung at a bird instead of a pitch in the first inning: "There's nothing you can do about it. You have to stay focused. I would rather play without the birds."

Damn Justin Verlander
and his Bird ball.

after further review
I watched Graffy's 1st inning AB again, and as Verlander throws the pitch a bird flies across the screen between them, Graffy swings and misses and looks at the bird as he heads to the dugout.

It was a nasty enough pitch without the bird there, an 85-mph curve down and away.  He wouldn't have been able to do anything with it, bird or no bird.
