Turnbow Expectations

After coming across Turnbow's name in the SI article on Attanasio, I got to thinking what my expectations are for him in the future.

You don't even have to get off your rear, you can just sit right where you are and VOTE.

Caught some Brewers BP before Tuesday night's game. I swear it looked like Sheets was hitting up Simmons on hitting advice the entire 45 minutes they were out there.

Parra's Workload
After another stellar outing by Parra yesterday I got curious about his past workload. Here are his yearly IP according to The Baseball Cube:
2002 - 49.2
2003 - 138.2
2004 - 73.1
2005 - 91.0
2006 - 86.0
2007 - 133.0
Assuming he is past his arm problems, it is conceivable that even if he makes the team out of spring training we are not going to have a full year of him. If you use this law of 30 that everybody was referencing with Gallardo, we probably shouldn't expect more than 160-165 innings. That being the case, what is the best way to distribute those innings or do we consider him a special circumstance that isn't bound by that 30 inning rule because he is older than Gallardo?

Spring Training Tips
Depending on how things lay-out, my friends and I are toying with the idea of driving down to Spring Training in Arizona the third week in March. I would appreciate if anyone could share with us any pointers, ideas, tips, or any other useful information we could use for the drive down and for our time in AZ. Anything goes, it can be local establishments you recommend to sights that should be seen, just about anything that come to mind. We plan on attending a couple games, at least one Brewer Game and one Cubs game (gotta keep the roommate happy) so feel free to recommend other teams events and set-ups that you recommend experiencing. Thanks for your input.

Yost Teaser
So over on the JS Site Tom gives us a little teaser of a "candid and revealing interview" he had with Yost that will be published in Sunday's paper. It covers the events of the final week of last season including the Pujols plunking, which Tom promises to reveal new information regarding. Should be an interesting look into the mind of Ned Yost...hopefully it won't be all rainbows and leprechauns. Anyone have any speculation as to what the new information regarding the Pujols/Fielder incidents will be?
