Palmisano out for first half

Brewers catching prospect Lou Palmisano is having surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee, and is due back sometime around midseason.

Palmisano, 25, hit .256/.369/.419 in 421 plate appearances last year with Double-A Huntsville.  He was a 3rd round pick by the Brewers in 2003 (69th overall).

Scott Rolen on the move

Looks like if the 'stache does decide to acquire a 3b yet, it won't be Scott Rolen.  Ken Rosenthal just reported that Rolen was essentially swapped for the Blue Jays Troy Glaus.

I don't mind us not getting Rolen, as I think he was a poor fit.  Many have been speculating that the Crew will make a move for Hank Blalock now that we've acquired Cameron, but I don't really care for a move that includes both Cappy and Billy.  I honestly believe Bill Hall is in line for a big bounce back year offensively, and while that may be optimistic, I also don't care for the fact that Blalock has a fairly extensive injury history, and may already be on the downside of his career.  I know this is his age 27 season, but his slugging pct. had dropped each season from 2003-6, and back/shoulder issues don't usually end up well for a hitter.
