And so is Pokey Reese. I mention Borowski because he, like Chad Bradford and Shigetoshi Hasegawa, seemed like the type of guy Doug Melvin might take a flyer on. Bradford ended up being a little too expensive for the risk involved, though he may work out well for the Mets, especially since a $1 million gamble isn't the same for them that it is for us.
Hasegawa has been rumored to be headed to the Colorado Rockies, but I'm probably less enthused about him than I was about either Bradford or Borowski. I would've loved to watch the National League try to adjust to Bradford's delivery for the first few months of the season.
