Kieschnick Watch, Part VI!

Brooks Kieschnick, Mr. Clutch.

A late 9th inning rally by the Corpus Christi Hooks sent the game into extra innings against the Frisco Rough Riders. After giving up runs in both the 1st and 3rd inning pitcher Tim McClaskey was able to shutdown the Rough Rider offense. McClaskey didn't get a decision as he threw 7 innings only giving up 2 runs. It wasn't until the bottom of the 9th inning when the Hooks produced with runners in scoring position. A leadoff single by Ray Navarette followed by a Hector Gimenez double set up Brooks Kieschnick and his first Hooks at bat. Kieschnick sent a screaming RBI liner up the middle that led to the first Hooks run bringing in Navarette. Josh Anderson tied the game with an RBI single bringing in Gimenez from 3rd and sending the game into extra innings.

Did somebody say the Brewers need bats?  Odd, that.
