Left handed slugger Prince Fielder has been recalled from Nashville. He'll join the team in Houston for a four game series that features right handed pitcher Roger Clemens in the opener.
To make room for him on the roster Clark was officially placed on the 15 day DL. Adam McCalvy has the rest of the story.
"It just gives us an extra weapon," Yost said. "It's a big series for us."
Fielder went 2-for-4 with a double, his 28th home run of the season and two RBIs in Nashville's 9-4 loss at Round Rock on Wednesday. He is hitting .540 (27-for-50) over his last 13 games.
