Game 126 Open Thread: Florida (66-58) at Milwaukee (61-64), 7:05 p.m. CT

After a day off the Brewers will host the Marlins in the first of a three game series. The Marlins are in serious contention for the NL Wildcard (they are my pick to win it; see sambre8's diary Make a Move for The Wild Card(?) on the right for discussion and predictions).

Should be a pitcher's duel, Josh Beckett (12-6, 3.15) takes on Chris Capuano (13-8, 3.61). Florida's offense features a potent mixture of speed and power, and Cappie is just the guy to have up there taking the role of basepaths cleaner.

Brewers are coming off a 2-2 split in Houston, and will start a long homestand with this series. Get out to the park if you can, should be a perfect evening for baseball! We are one full game ahead of the Chicago Cubs (60-65) who are under the lights at Wrigley versus Atlanta. Let's make it two!

Let's Go Brewers!
Let's Go Braves!
