Ben Sheets himself via MLB.com
"You can come back for one meaningless start," he said. "I wish the game would be meaningful, and that's still very slim [that he would be ready to pitch]."
Ben Sheets tore his right latissimus dorsi muscle in the eighth inning of Friday night's game. An MRI Saturday afternoon showed the tear to be worse than expected. Doctors and Sheets himself expect him to be done for the season, without, of course, completely ruling out a possible return.
From everyone at BrewCrewBall.com, thanks for the great season Ben. We'll get 'em next year!
