This may not be of interest to everyone, but for those of you who are SABR members, or are considering joining, check out the docket for next month's Milwaukee chapter meeting:
Robb Edwards, the Public Address announcer for the Brewers at Miller Park, and long-time Milwaukee-area radio announcer will be our next speaker. Robb will share his love of baseball, and relate some of the work involved with being a Public Address announcer, and experiences he has had.
Mario Ziino, the Brewers long-time Director of Publications/Historian will be the third Guest of Honor. Mario has a lot of stories to share with the audience, and will talk about his many interactions with players and the media.
I'd be there, but it'd be a 16-hour drive, and I don't even have a car. If you're a member of the chapter, go...if you're a SABR member in the area and don't hear about this stuff, you should...drop me a line and I'll put you in touch with the chapter president. If you're not a SABR member...well, what are you waiting for?
