It looks like Wade Miller is returning to the Cubs for 2007. He was a popular bargain pick around these parts last offseason; he may well have been a reasonable gamble, but it sure didn't pay off in '06--his rehab went really, really slow. Miller only threw a handful of big-league innings last year, and it'll be a challenge for him to stay healthy enough to do so next year.
Still, not a bad deal for the Cubs: high-end, Miller is still probably a mid-rotation starter; low-end, well, it's still probably only a million bucks and some incentives.
