Dana Eveland gets the start against Jeff Francis, who is going to have a great year (except in his starts against the Brewers) because he's on my fantasy team.
As I mentioned in my game recap, Dave Bush had a great outing yesterday. Still, Ned doesn't want to commit to putting him in the rotation:
Some of this, of course, is usual spring-training blather--Ned isn't about to tell Drew Olson his innermost thoughts, and he also realizes that a lot can happen in three weeks. But, it seems like the moment Dave Bush became a Brewer, we've been talking about putting him on the road back to closing (which he did in college) or making him the long man. Despite his disastrous W-L record in Toronto last year, this guy deserves a spot in the starting rotation. Just because he can relieve and come back and pitch consecutive days doesn't mean he should. If he's a league average starter, the Brewers will get about $8 million of free-agent value out of him this year. If he's the long man, they might be lucky to get $2 million.
Okay, my rant is over.
Looks like the game today will be on Fox Sports Net. I'm going to be on a bus for most if not all of the game, so I won't be able to check in until afterwards, but if you'd like to keep tabs on the Crew, feel free to do so in the comments of this thread.
