5 years, $65 million. Not really all that much more than Konerko got, which seems like a steal in comparison. Then again, is $65 million ever a steal for someone not named Pujols or A-Rod?
The deal starts this year, giving him a hefty bonus for 2006, and has a complete no-trade, which would suggest we'll be seeing a lot of D-Lee. I don't think he'll consistently be as good as he was last year, but I'm still not very excited about having to face him more than a dozen times every year.
