Will they or won't they? If you're planning your evening around watching the game on FSN, it doesn't matter too much, but I'm headed out to go to the game in a little bit, and I'd feel a lot better about it if there were thundershowers in the forecast. It already rained a little in Will they or won't they? If you're planning your evening around watching the game on FSN, it doesn't matter too much, but I'm headed out to go to the game in a little bit, and I'd feel a lot better about it if there were thundershowers in the forecast. It already rained a little in Queens today and the sky is not exactly clear.

Tonight at 6:10 CT, it's a battle of the lefties: the young 'un Chris Capuano vs. the old 'un Tom Glavine. Cappy has been solid in his first two starts this year and, possibly as a result of his new cutter, has been striking out over a batter an inning. Glavine has also started strong, especially against lefties. It's not going to happen, but I wouldn't mind seeing Corey Hart starting in right field.

While you wait for the game to start, here are some notes from the official site, including a bit about my main man Hart. Tom Haudricourt has some notes of his own about the pre-game meeting yesterday in St. Louis, which disappointingly does not appear to have touched on patience at the plate, which--to my eye, anyway--is what we have been sorely lacking.

Update [2006-4-14 16:49:3 by Jeff]: Obie sighting! It hasn't been a very pleasant several months for Wes Obermueller on the mound, so he's considering Japan. I am really, really stretching for a pun here, but perhaps he'll find success Beyond the Curve-ball.
