6/14 Game Thread: Brewers (32-34) at Reds (36-29)

If you buy something from an SB Nation link, Vox Media may earn a commission. See our ethics statement.

Carlos Villanueva makes his first major league start today, and on national TV no less; the game isn't being broadcast on FSN but is on just one channel down (in Milwaukee), on ESPN.  Hopefully we can hear Rick Sutcliffe go on and on about his drunken exploits.

Villanueva will be pitching against Eazy Elizardo Ramirez, who hasn't won since beating the Brewers on May 23.

Geoff Jenkins is hitting 7th again and likely sealed his fate for the next couple weeks by doing well last night; Yost now probably thinks the seven spot is lucky for Jenks.

In other Brewers news, a bunch more draft picks have signed, including some high ones:

  • OF Chris Errecart (#5/Cal)
  • LHP Micah "Brae" Wright (#6/Oklahoma State)
  • OF Zach Clem (#11/Washington)
  • SS Hector Bernal (#14/El Paso CC)
  • C Brett Whiteside (#15/Mesquite (AZ) HS)
  • 2B Eric Newton (#33/Santa Clara)
  • OF Charles Iacono (undrafted FA/College of New Jersey).
