Rickie has perspective

Rickie Weeks just posted a "player perspective" over at the official site. As usual, it's pretty much the official line; you or I probably could've written about the same thing. But we'll all read it anyway:

Defensively, I've made my errors, but I feel like I'm improving every day at second base. I need to develop consistency, so I've been working hard and getting a lot of extra practice. The more ground balls I take, the more consistent I'll become.

I'm enjoying the leadoff role, especially with big hitters like Carlos Lee and Prince Fielder coming up behind me. Those guys are the main reason I'm confident our offense will improve. We'll score runs with the type of hitters we have in our lineup.

Oddly, no mention of how much he's looking forward to spending the offseason working on his bunting.
