8/6 Game Thread: Brewers (52-58) at Cardinals (59-50)

It's again-ace Chris Capuano against Brewer-killer Jeff Suppan. Anybody notice how many Brewer killers there are in this league? Let's try to deprive at least one of his title, okay?

Same old same old in Ned's lineup, only today Mike Rivera is hitting eighth. Brady Clark is back at the top, pretending like the Brewers have a leadoff hitter.

Over at Viva El Birdos, they're more concerned about Mark Mulder's rehab start than today's game. Maybe the Cardinals offense will be distracted, too! Also, check out this great article about former prospect Matt Harrington, now pitching in indy ball. Joe Posnanski, the author of the article, is one of the best in the biz--it's remarkable that Kansas City has more top-tier baseball columnists that first-rank baseball players.

One more thing: Wayne Franklin is back in the big leagues: the Braves were sufficiently desparate to add him to their roster today. Perhaps the Brewers will face their old compadre next weekend!

Go Brewers!
