As Jamie so eloquently put it, it looks like Francisco Cordero just signed a deal with the Cincinnati Reds. Stop me if you've heard this before: because the Reds were one of the suckier teams in baseball last season, they only have to surrender a second-round pick; we also get the sandwich pick.
The deal looks to be for 4 years, which again seems like a long time, plus an option for a 5th year.
* In sadder news, the much discussed (around these parts, anyway) Joe Kennedy died this morning. He was 28.
