Game Thread #37: This One's for Vergie

Sadly enough, I'm not going to the game today.  As much as I would like to sit in the outfield bleachers and catch the home run Bill Hall launches from his pink bat in the top of the 9th to give the Brewers the lead, it isn't to be.  (The catch, that is.  The homer is still going to happen.)

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I really like what Ned has done the last few days.  He got Gwynn in the lineup yesterday, and Miller in the game Thursday, and even gave Rickie the day off yesterday, so it seems unlikely we're going to see some mass surrender of a starting lineup today.  That's good, because while Chris Capuano has been excellent, he can't win if we don't score.

I hope Corey Hart is well enough to play: his triple last night certainly suggests that he is, and I'd much rather see him in right field against Oliver Perez than any of our other options.  But hey, no big deal either way: last night's outburst suggests that we can put up some runs no matter who's in the lineup.

Go Brewers!
