Ben Sheets is now on the 15-day DL. Chris Spurling is on family leave. That means Manny Parra is not only in Milwaukee, he's on the team, and it opens up another spot, which goes to Grant Balfour.
I'm interested to see how Ned uses these guys; it would make sense to move Gallardo into the rotation and try Parra in the bullpen. That would give Ned the second lefty he's always dreamed of, and even one who can get righties out too. Balfour is a big question mark at this point: he's been downright filthy in the minors this year, but it remains to be seen how that will translate into major league performance.
