Brewers 7, Rangers 4

W: Dave Bush (3-0) L: Kevin Millwood (1-2) S: David Riske (1) HR: Brad Nelson (3), Michael Young (2), Chris Davis (4) The Brewers jumped to an early lead in Surprise Friday night, taking a 3-0 lead in the first on Brad Nelson's home run off of Kevin Millwood, and never looking back. Dave Bush pitched 6.2 innings and allowed four runs (two earned) on nine hits, walking none and striking out four to keep his spring ERA at 2.70. Late in the game, the Brewers showed off some of their low-level minor league talent, with Lee Haydel, Adam Stern, Zelous Wheeler, Erik Komatsu, Caleb Gindl and Brett Lawrie all seeing action. David Riske allowed two hits but pitched a scoreless ninth, his first scoreless outing of the spring, and picked up his first save. He struck out Andruw Jones to finish the game. For the Rangers, catcher Taylor Teagarden went 3-for-3 and finished a home run short of the cycle.
