Game Thread #33: Marlins (17-15) at Brewers (18-14)

With Sunday's game being an afternoon contest, the Brewers come into tonight with over 48 hours of rest. Hopefully they made good use of the extra time and will be ready to face the Marlins tonight.

John Koronka takes the mound tonight for the Fish, making his 2009 MLB debut. Koronka hasn't pitched in the big leagues since going 0-2 with a 7.84 ERA for the 2007 Rangers. He posted a 4.79 ERA in 67.2 innings in AAA with the Rockies last season, and has posted a 3.00 ERA in ten appearances (four starts) for New Orleans (AAA) this season. He has a 6.02 career major league ERA.

Meanwhile, Manny Parra comes into tonight's contest riding his longest winning streak of the season, one game. He's currently posted a 4.88 ERA in 31.1 innings, and his 20 walks are the seventh most in the NL. In his only career start against the Marlins, he allowed two runs in 5.1 innings on his way to a no decision.

With the off day yesterday, the entire bullpen is fresh, including Trevor Hoffman, who hasn't pitched since Friday. Hopefully we'll get to see him tonight.

Monday's Game Thread is now open.
