Well folks, here we are. The Monday morning following the end of the regular season, facing no more Brewer baseball until March.
I wanted to take a moment at this point to thank everyone who stopped by and helped make this a successful season for BCB. Despite the fact that the Brewers were never in contention, our trafffic during the 2010 season kept pace with 2009's numbers and exceeded 2008's. I was hoping for a better season (weren't we all?), but all told I'm proud of what we were able to accomplish.
This post also wouldn't be complete if I didn't take a moment to thank the contributors I couldn't do this without. Counting spring training, nearly every day has been a game day for the last seven months, which is a long grind. Thank you to everyone that's helped keep the site going during that time. Adding your voices to the site helps me maintain my sanity while also contributing the diversity of content that helps make this the best place on the internet to read about and discuss the Brewers.
With the baseball season over I know that many of you will be moving on to other sports for a while, if you haven't already. If you're turning your focus to another Wisconsin sports team, I'd highly recommend you check out their site on the SBN Network:
Acme Packing Company (Packers)
Anonymous Eagle (Marquette)
Brew Hoop (Bucks)
Bucky's 5th Quarter (Wisconsin)
However, I'd also like to take a moment to remind you that there is no offseason here at BCB. The Frosty Mug will continue to run five days a week straight through to spring (I'm working on today's as we speak), many of last winter's most popular features are coming back and I've had a notepad on my desk for months where I've been scribbling down new ideas I'm hoping you'll enjoy. I intend to have new content on the site every weekday (and most weekends) for the foreseeable future. In addition, if you have ideas for winter content you'd like to see, please share them.
So, again, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to make BCB a part of your day this season, and I sincerely hope you'll continue to do so through the coming months as we look ahead to 2011.
