Arizona: Surprise 7, Mesa 2 (7 innings)

  • Caleb Gindl (RF): 0-for-3, 2 K
  • Jeremy Jeffress: 1 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 1 BB, 2 K

Gindl is just 2-for his last 22.

The Javelinas also won yesterday, so Surprise has been eliminated from postseason contention. They still have two games left to play.

According to Danny Wild of MLB.com, Tuesday's AFL games were limited to seven innings due to concerns about pitch counts. Wednesday's games will be nine innings, but Thursday's games could be limited again.

Dominican Republic: Cibao 3, Escogido 0

  • Erick Almonte (LF, Cibao): 1-for-3, 2B
  • Carlos Gomez (RF, Escogido): 1-for-4

Escogido is 12-9 and a game back of first, while Cibao is 9-12 and four games out.

Mexico: Culiacan 5, Guasave 1

  • Luis Cruz (Culiacan): 2-for-4, HR (1), R, RBI

It was both Cruz's first home run and multi-hit game in nine LMP contests.

At 15-15, Culiacan is tied for sixth place but is just two games out of first.

Puerto Rico: San Juan 4, Mayaguez 2

  • Sergio Miranda (2B, San Juan): 0-for-4
  • Martin Maldonado (C, Mayaguez): 0-for-2

Maldonado also committed a throwing error and was removed for a pinch hitter.

San Juan is 10-8 and three games back of first place. Mayaguez is in last place at 3-13.

Venezuela: Lara 6, Aragua 2

  • Alcides Escobar (SS, Lara): 0-for-5

Lara is 15-14, four games back of first place.
