The Thursday Thinker: Who'd They Get?

New, comments

As the hot stove season kicks off, get ready for several months of conversation about the possibility the Brewers will trade Prince Fielder this winter.

As a primer for that conversation, let's take a look back at past trades. With some help from TheJay, I made a list of the ten most significant trades since 2000 where the Brewers dealt away established major league talent. They acquired 27 players in those deals. How many can you name in seven minutes?

It's worth noting that Sporcle will accept last names, but it's a little quirky in specific cases. If noted one act play star Gritty Von Canthitalick was a correct answer, for example, "Canthitalick" would be an accepted response but "Von Canthitalick" would not be.

The rules remain the same: Post your score in the comments but do not comment on any specific answer until after 6 pm Central time, so everyone gets a chance to try it out without having it spoiled for them. And, of course, there's no reason to cheat here, because there aren't any prizes.

It's possible some of you will get all 27 of these. If you do, post your time along with your score.

Have fun, and don't forget to post your score in the comments!

Oh, and if you like the thinker but wish it was about Marquette instead, Anonymous Eagle has you covered.
