After a 10-inning tie against the White Sox yesterday, the Brewers will welcome the Dodgers to Maryvale today and hope to bring their non-losing streak to two games!
The Dodgers will be in split-squad mode today, as the other half of the team takes on the Angels.
Follow the jump for today's lineups and pitching matchup.
Get ready some slow first few innings today as Doug Davis (1-0, 1.29 ERA this spring) will be making his third spring start for the Crew today. Davis pitched pretty well his last time out, holding the Cubs to one run over three innings while striking out two and walking none.
The Dodgers will send out Clayton Kershaw (0-0, 1.80 ERA this spring), followed by Russ Ortiz (2-0,1.38 ERA this spring). In two starts against Milwaukee last year, Kershaw walked 11 Brewers in 10 innings. Ortiz was with the Astros last year and is in Dodger camp as a non-roser invitee.
I haven't been able to find the Brewers lineup, but here's the Dodgers (from @DodgertownUSA):
Frucal SS
Johnson RF
Paul LF
Kemp CF
Belliard 1B
Carroll 2B
Green 3B
Ellis C
Kershaw LHP
Meanwhile, Chris Narveson, Casey McGehee and Corey Hart will be taking on the Rangers, including Josh Hamiltion and Neftali Feliz, in a B game today.
Maybe today we'll see Taylor Green, who was just added to big league camp.
Go Brewers!
