Randy Wells (1-0, 0.00 in 2010, 12-10, 3.05 last season) has yet to allow a run in 2010, after pitching six shutout innings against the Braves on Thursday. He allowed six hits and two walks in the game, with one strikeout. Wells has been a bit of a revelation for the Cubs over the last two seasons: At this time last year, he was pitching in AAA Iowa and had 5.1 innings of big league experience. Since then, he's posted a 2.94 ERA in 171.1 innings and FanGraphs estimates he's been worth 3.2 wins. He faced the Brewers five times last season (twice in relief), and had a 2.95 ERA in 18.1 innings. striking out 15 and walking eight. Ryan Braun is the only Brewer who's faced him at least ten times, and he hit .444/.500/.536 against him.

He'll face Dave Bush (0-0, 4.76 in 2010, 5-9, 6.38 last season), who allowed three runs on four hits in 5.2 innings last time out, walking two and striking out six. As someone who's been around the NL Central for a while, Bush is all too familiar with the Cubs: He's 2-8 with a 5.13 ERA in 16 appearances (15 starts) against them, and eight Cub position players (along with Tom Gorzelanny) have faced him at least ten times:
