If you're not coming out to tonight's BCB Meetup at AJ Bombers, join us after the jump for tonight's pitching matchup and more!

John Lannan (1-1, 8.31 in 2010, 9-13, 3.88 last season) is making his third start and hasn't pitched much like an ace so far, allowing eight runs in 8.2 IP and failing to last past the fifth inning in either appearance. On Saturday, he allowed three earned runs on six hits in five innings to the Mets, and was credited with the win. This will be his fourth career start against the Brewers - he's 0-1 with a 7.11 ERA in the previous three starts, allowing 10 earned runs in just 12.2 innings. No Brewer has faced him more than seven times: Prince Fielder is a linetime 0-for-4 against him with three walks.

Yovani Gallardo (0-2, 6.75 in 2010, 13-12, 3.73 last season) is also making his third start, and has also been a little disappointing to this point. He lasted just five innings against the Cardinals on Saturday, allowing six runs on five hits and two walks. He's struck out ten in 12 innings, but has also allowed a home run in each of his starts. Two Nats have faced him at least ten times:

Player PA AVG OBP SLG OPS
Nyjer Morgan 18 .235 .278 .353 .631
Adam Dunn 12 .111 .333 .222 .556

Via Tyler Barnes, here's tonight's lineup:

Rickie Weeks 2B
Corey Hart RF
Ryan Braun LF
Prince Fielder 1B
Casey McGehee 3B
Carlos Gomez CF
Gregg Zaun C
Alcides Escobar SS
Yovani Gallardo P

And in the bullpen:

Chris Narveson pitched 1 inning (25 pitches) yesterday, and also pitched on Wednesday.Carlos Villanueva pitched 2 innings (30 pitches) yesterday.
Trevor Hoffman pitched 1 inning (29 pitches) yesterday.
LaTroy Hawkins pitched 1 inning (39 pitches) Wednesday.
Todd Coffey pitched .2 innings (18 pitches) Wednesday.
Claudio Vargas pitched .2 innings (19 pitches) Monday.
Manny Parra pitched 2 innings (29 pitches) Saturday.

The weather forecast for DC calls for scattered thunderstorms tonight, with a 50% chance of rain. There's also this advisory about an enhanced threat for the spread of wildfires. Bullpens, consider yourselves warned.

Enjoy the game!
