New venue, same results.

  • Yovani Gallardo allowed just one run on four hits in six innings, but walked six while striking out just five, and needed 120 pitches to complete six innings.
  • Tonight's bullpen meltdown came courtesy of Todd Coffey, who surrendered five earned runs on five hits, an intentional walk and an HBP in one inning of work. His five runs allowed set a new career high.
  • The Brewers' first two runs scored on solo shots by Corey Hart, who has homered in three straight games. That feat has only been matched 89 times in franchise history, most recently by Prince Fielder, who did it two different times in August of 2009. He's just the tenth Brewer ever to homer four times in a three game stretch.
  • The Brewers scored two in the ninth to make it a save situation for Francisco Cordero, who entered with one out and got Rickie Weeks to pop out, allowed an infield single to Alcides Escobar and got Ryan Braun to fly out to end the game.
