This game was exhausting to watch.  Randy Wolf broke out his Houdini impression, getting into and out of jams with the aid of a few well-timed line drive double plays.  His final pitching line (5 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 5 BB, 3 K) wasn't pretty, but it kept the Crew in the game.  While Wolf struggled, Rickie Weeks hit a home run and Alcides Escobar chipped in an RBI single to make the game 2-2 through five innings.

with the game tied, Jeff Suppan followed Randy Wolf and got hit hard, allowing two runs in the sixth and two more before being pulled in favor of Marco Estrada in the seventh.  In the bottom of the seventh, Rickie Weeks got two runs back on his second home run of the day.  Unfortunately, that was the last gasp for the Brewers offense.  Trevor Hoffman pitched a 1-2-3 eighth inning before Zach Braddock struggled his way through the ninth, allowing four runs before settling down and recording three straight outs.

Despite the loss, the Brewers leave for Florida having won four of six at home and five of seven overall.
