Its a double dose of baseball "fun" today, with interleague play AND a west coast game.
Lineups and more stuff after the jump!
Randy Wolf (4-6, 5,31 ERA) continues to be underwhelming this season. Incase you needed a reminder, Wolf lasted only 4.2 inning last time out against the Cubs, but that was just enough time to give up 8 earned runs, including 5 home runs, 3 of which were in 1 inning. Wolf's WHIP is up to a disgusting 1.628. A major factor in that is his increased walk rate, which is up to 4.5/9. Just for reference, Gallardo's is 4.3BB/9. Wolf pitched well in his home town last year, so hopefully he has the same luck tonight. No Angel has faced Wolf more than 10 times.
Joe Saunders (5-6, 4.35 ERA) is pitching how I hoped Randy Wolf might, but isn't. He hasn't pitched well at home, however, to the tune of a 6.34 ERA. Saunders has been incredibly consistent and average throughout his career. He doesn't strike out many (5K/9), he doesn't walk a ton (3BB/9), but he gives up plenty of hits (9.4H/9). He basically pitches just well enough to get results. Carlos Gomez is the Brewer to have faced Saunders. In 8 ABs he is hitting .500 against him.
Adam McCalvy has tonight's lineup:
Craig Counsell 3B
